The Vitosha Freelancer Hikers is a monthly reset designed to break the routine, clear your head, and build genuine connections with fellow freelancers.
Once a month, we trade Slack notifications for mountain trails and coffee mugs for thermos flasks. No awkward networking — just open air, stunning views of Sofia, and honest conversations about the triumphs and trials of working for yourself.

Here is the flow of the event:
1. Circle Up (At the Base) — We meet at the trailhead for quick introductions, and a casual “icebreaker.” Once everyone knows who's who, we hit the trail.
2. The Ascent (On the Trail) — The climb is for effortless, organic conversation. Walk alongside different people, swap stories, or just take in the fresh air and scenery.
3. The Summit Pause (At the Peak/Hut) — We stop at a mountain hut or scenic spot to refuel with food and warm tea. Here, we do a light, facilitated “circle share” — a single casual prompt about freelance life, client wins, or current challenges.
4. The Descent & Connection (Heading Down) — We head back down feeling energised, clear-headed, and connected — leaving the mountain with fresh motivation and a few new collaborators on speed dial.
The membership fee allows us to actively build and maintain a high-quality community — from organizing events and activities to communicating with members and creating opportunities for meaningful connections.
The membership fee covers a mountain guide — you only cover your own food, drinks, insurance or personal expenses when applicable.
Every new member is connected with a dedicated person from our team they can reach out to — whether they have a question, need help getting started, or simply want to know more about the community.
